Mansur Gavriel: Accessory Like a Sugar Wafer


I love leather. In my mind, it's right up there with a blankey, but more stylish- the more you use it, the better you get to know it, the more lived in and "customized" it becomes, and the more comfortable you feel with it. Plus, owning/using leather is a full sensory experience: so much more than just how it looks and feels, quality leather even smells good, too. (Hey, it's not for nothing that the scent of leather is included among the mystifying base notes of Guerlain's Shalimar perfume.)

That said, these Mansur Gavriel bags speak for themselves in their unencumbered simplicity, and there's little else to add... except that they are so smooth and satin-looking, they remind me of sugar wafers... especially that pink color...
