Futuristic '90s shoes... which sadly seem to be sold out everywhere. :(
But they're good inspiration all the same. :)

Variations on a theme: making a simple outfit "sprezzy*."

*"Sprezzy" is the anglicized slang term for sprezzatura, an Italian word that means studied nonchalance.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends... So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." -I Corinthians 13:4-8, 13

These very famous words on the attributes of true love which true Christians were and are to emulate, were written by St. Paul in his First Epistle to the church at Corinth.

A lot that came out of Fashion Week this season felt like an irrational fiasco... And even now, I'm still trying to understand the main aesthetic thrust of the designs, but mental images of jumping into a big black bag of random clothes just won't leave my mind (::cough:: Dior SS18 ::cough::). Anyway, these detail photos from Saint Laurent felt like a glimmer of sanity in a sea of nonsensicalities... I like the "careless-but-studied" jewelry layering here, and I love the look of a brown belt paired with all-black.

More sanity to come as I find it and grasp onto it for dear life. (Hopefully...)
